Venom is returning with a sequel after an off-the-charts performance on the box office. The film directed by Andy Sparks and based on Marvel Comic’s Spiderman’s nemesis, brought in over $800 million.
The film revolves around Eddie who has gained superhuman powers from a creature by the name “Venom.” Eddie is able to release weaponized black goo in a number of ways and devours people from sustenance.

Venom 2 is scheduled for release on June 25, 2021 in the USA. Earlier the movie was scheduled for a October 2020 release, but as with all upcoming movies, the production has been halted because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and this halt in production has compelled Sony into pushing the release date further to June 2021. The first sequel was launched 2 years ago on October 5, 2018. Rumors contest that filming commenced back in November, 2019 at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden.

Venom 2: Possibility of Spiderman’s appearance?
When Sony and Disney made an announcement about Spiderman’s exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the likeliness of Spiderman being moved to Venom 2 was reasonably high. However, with Spiderman’s return in the Avengers, his appearance in Venom 2 becomes uncertain.
“Without revealing anything that I’m not allowed to reveal, it is not impossible that in a future/upcoming ‘Venom’ movie, Spider-Man will play a significant role … I think it’s fair to say that everyone involved would be very excited by a Spider-Man/Venom movie.” teased Jeff Pinkner, movie’s screenwriter.

The trailer for Venom 2 has not yet been made available. It is expected to arrive in 2021.
